Today's meeting was deemed "Hot Weather Affected''.. At the close of kennelling the outside temperature was 32 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.6 degrees..
Dynamite Danger was quick to begin.
Kiss Me Razley, Maximum Hope and Elke's Osti collided soon after the start, checking Maximum Hope. Elke's Osti and Azana collided on the first turn, checking Kiss Me Razley and Ima Rig. Ima Rig and Azana collided approaching the home turn. Maximum Hope raced wide approaching the home turn. Kiss Me Razley raced wide on the home turn. Azana raced wide on the home turn. Ima Rig and Azana collided several times in the home straight. Dynamite Danger eased approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr A Richardson, the trainer of the greyhound Dynamite Danger regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Dynamite Danger was vetted and re-vetted following event six. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right monkey muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Dynamite Danger with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Richardson pleaded guilty to the charge, Dynamite Danger was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
