Dynamite Danger was quick to begin.

Kiss Me Razley, Maximum Hope and Elke's Osti collided soon after the start, checking Maximum Hope. Elke's Osti and Azana collided on the first turn, checking Kiss Me Razley and Ima Rig. Ima Rig and Azana collided approaching the home turn. Maximum Hope raced wide approaching the home turn. Kiss Me Razley raced wide on the home turn. Azana raced wide on the home turn. Ima Rig and Azana collided several times in the home straight. Dynamite Danger eased approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr A Richardson, the trainer of the greyhound Dynamite Danger regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Dynamite Danger was vetted and re-vetted following event six.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right monkey muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Dynamite Danger with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Richardson pleaded guilty to the charge, Dynamite Danger was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Avatar Demon and Izgrev were slow to begin. 

Nick and Miss Owlette collided soon after the start. Nick, Miss Owlette and Elite Eliana collided soon after the start, resulting in Miss Owlette and Elite Eliana racing wide. Miss Owlette checked off Elite Eliana approaching the home turn, checking Izgrev. Nick and Avatar Demon collided on the home turn. Nick and Avatar Demon raced wide in the home straight.

A sample was taken from Osti's Raider - the winner of the event. 

Due to a technical error the judges inadvertently semaphored the race time as 21.94; this was amended to the correct time of 22.47 prior to the all clear being given.

Bluey Moran which competed at Mount Gambier on December 17, 2017 was a late scratching at 8.56am by order of Stewards pursuant to LRR29.2.

It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left quadriceps muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Fast Freddie with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Hammerstein pleaded guilty to the charge, Fast Freddie was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Ottis Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock and was humanley euthanised. 

Stewards spoke to Mr M Jones regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Destini Echo. Stewards directed that Destini Echo be boxed first in future events.

There was a delay to All Clear to enable Stewards to view footage of the race after it was noticed the racing jacket on Destini Echo had moved forward. Stewards were of the opinion the greyhound was not impeded and All Clear was notified.

Saint Ray and No Guarantees collided approaching the first turn, checking No Guarantees and Pillar Creek. Very Venom and Okay Penny collided on the first turn, severely checking Okay Penny. Saint Ray galloped on the heels of  Very Venom on the home turn, checking both greyhounds. No Guarantees and Pillar Creek collided in the home straight. 

Okay Penny was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

One Mississippi and Miss Adok collided soon after the start. Allen Jake and Heavy Pockets collided soon after the start. Miss Adok checked off One Mississippi on the first turn. Invented and Miss Adok collided on the first turn. Miss Adok and Allen Jake collided approaching the home turn.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results - Too The Nail trialled over the 450m from box 1, weight 33.1kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.22, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of .25L Too The Nail was Not Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Crackerjack Choc trialled over the 450m from box 8, weight 32.4kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.22, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.5L. Crackerjack Choc was Not Cleared.
