Steward's Report

Farfalla Nera and Spruce Moose were quick to begin.  Kip Moss, Shanlyn Dolly and Final Chimes were slow to begin.

Midnight Muscat and Poise collided on the first turn checking Poise.  Brakae eased and failed to pursue the lure on the first turn checking Spruce Moose.  Kip Moss contacted the running rail on the first turn.  Poise checked off Midnight Muscat approaching the home turn.  Midnight Muscat and Spruce Moose collided approaching the home turn causing Shanlyn Dolly to gallop on Spruce Moose severely checking Spruce Moose and Shanlyn Dolly as a result.  Kip Moss checked off Poise approaching the home turn checking Shanlyn Dolly and severely checking Final Chimes.  Brakae eased and failed to pursue the lure on the home turn and again approaching the winning post, Farfalla Nera and Brakae collided as a result.

Brakae was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Mr Willcock's delclined to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr D. Willcock, the trainer of the greyhound Brakae regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn, the home turn and approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Brakae with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Willcock pleaded not guilty to the charge, Brakae was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
