Stewards spoke to Mr C. Capuano, the representative of Grand Maximus regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Grand Maximus last raced on 3rd August 2017, Mr Capuano stated that the greyhound was returning from a spell.

Don's Magic and Murrabit Betty were slow to begin.

Snap Hook, Grand Maximus and Saint Flynn collided approaching the first turn checking Snap Hook, Grand Maximus, Saint Flynn and Murrabit Betty.  Grand Maximus and Snap Hook collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Saint Flynn crossed to the outside of Tiger Bite Turbo approaching the winning post.
