Mighty Boots and Hardaway Zoe collided soon after the start.

Mighty Boots, Gold Crusher, Nod Ya Head and Avalon Sisco collided approaching the first turn checking Gold Crusher. Mighty Boots, Nod Ya Head and Avalon Sisco collided on the first turn checking Nod Ya Head. Mighty Boots and Avalon Sisco collided approaching the home turn. Mighty Boots and Nod Ya Head collided on the home turn. Mighty Boots marred the running of Avalon Sisco entering the home straight.

Mighty Boots was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a mild abrasion to the right front leg.

Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Jones, the handler of the greyhound Mighty Boots regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Mighty Boots with marring. Mr. Jones pleaded guilty to the charge, Mighty Boots was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
