Steward's Report
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Covfefe engaged in this event on 25th June pursuant to GAR 79A.
Stewards spoke to Ms K. Smith, the representative of Manila Sprite regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Manila Sprite last raced on 10 January 2018. Ms Smith stated that the greyhound was resuming from a change of kennel.
A pre-race sample was taken from Manila Sprite.
Manila Sprite was quick to begin. Kissable and Keep On Runnin' were slow to begin.
I'm Sorry, Keep On Runnin', Covfefe and Kissable collided soon after the start severely checking Kissable and Covfefe with both greyhounds hitting the running rail. Blackpool Tipsy, I'm Sorry and Keep On Runnin' collided on the first turn checking I'm Sorry and Keep On Runnin'. Manila Sprite checked off Venus Allen approaching the home turn checking Smart Sailor. Covfefe and Kissable collided on the home turn. I'm Sorry and Keep On Runnin' collided in the home straight.
Kissable was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
