Stewards spoke to Ms K. Smith, the representative of Manila Sprite regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Manila Sprite last raced on 10 January 2018. Ms Smith stated that the greyhound was resuming from a change of kennel.

Don's Machine was vetted following the event after failing to follow the finish-on lure and hurdling the outside rail.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right forearm, no stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results & Weight Trial (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Troy Scott, the trainer of Are You Serial regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Are You Serial last raced on 29 July 2017 and is returning from a change of kennels. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Are You Serial trialled over the 400mtrs from box 1, weight 26.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.92, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 12 1/2 lengths. Are You Serial was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results & Weight Trial (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Jake Collins, the representative of Zipping Tex regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Zipping Tex last raced on 5 August 2017 and is returning from a change kennels. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Zipping Tex trialled over the 400mtrs from box 8, weight 36.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.92, the greyhound won by a margin of 1 1/2 lengths. Zipping Tex was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Hayley's Style trialled over the 460mtrs from box 1, weight 26.9kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.73, the greyhound won by a margin of 4 1/4 lengths. Hayley's Style was Cleared.
