Steward's Report

A sample was taken from Placid Pause upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

A sample was taken from Goldielocks Rose upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Mia Maestro, Mega McKayla and Goldie's Nugget collided soon after the start checking Mega McKayla.  Mia Maestro and Goldie's Nugget collided approaching the first turn checking Goldie's Nugget and causing Goldie's Nugget to lose ground.  Burning Steel and Torh Minter collided on the first turn.  Torh Minter, Wafer Thin and Goldielocks Rose collided entering the back straight checking Wafer Thin and Goldielocks Rose.  Wafer Thin and Mia Maestro collided several times from the second turn to approaching the home turn.

Goldie's Nugget was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained bruising to both back feet.  No stand down period was imposed.

Wafer Thin was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. S. Melville, the trainer of Wafer Thin regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.

A sample was taken from Burning Steel - the winner of the event.
