Steward's Report
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Dyna Zaynabi, engaged in this event, on 19 June 2018 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Stewards spoke to Mr John Mundy, the representative of Fiery Melody, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Fiery Melody last raced on 14 March 2018 and is returning after being seasonal.
Dyan Zaynabi and Unusable collided soon after the start. Bull Da Dash, Primrose Diamond and Tally Ho Jack collided soon after the start, checking Primrose Diamond. Tally Ho Jack, Dyna Zaynabi and Unusable collided at the 300m mark. Tally Ho Jack and Rattle Gate collided at the 100m mark. Dyna Zaynabi and Unusable collided approaching the 50m mark. Bull Da Dash failed to pursue the lure with due commitment from the 50m mark to the winning post.
Bull Da Dash was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.
Stewards spoke to Mr Jason Stemmer, the trainer of the greyhound regarding the greyhound’s racing manners from the 50m mark to the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Bull Da Dash with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Stemmer pleaded guilty to the charge, Bull Da Dash was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
