Kamchatka Lenny contacted the running rail approaching the first turn and galloped on the heels of Avatar Willow which lost ground as a result. Sweet Ambush and Militant Gem collided on the first turn checking Militant Gem. Sweet Ambush and Aqualite collided on the home turn and several times in the home straight. Militant Gem raced wide on the home turn and entering the home straight and collided with Aqualite.

Stewards spoke to Mr B.Jones, the trainer of Marking Bad regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Marking Bad last raced on 11 February, 2018. Mr Jones stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after being seasonal.
