Steward's Report
A pre-race hair sample was taken from Caribbean Red just prior to kennelling the greyhound.
Pre-race urine and hair samples were taken from Lance Allen.
Rocket Tears was quick to begin. Straitline Willy was slow to begin.
Awesome Catch crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Dewana Chat, Pandaken and Aston Tobin. Lance Allen, Aston Tobin and Awesome Catch collided on the first turn checking Aston Tobin and Awesome Catch. Pandaken and Dewana Chat collided on the first turn severely checking Pandaken, Straitline Willy and Dewana Chat, Dewana Chat stumbled and tailed off as a result. Aston Tobin and Awesome Catch collided entering the back straight.
Dewana Chat was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left deltoid and left shoulder soreness, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
