A pre-race sample was taken from Kraken Elroy.
Backin' Bully was quick to begin. Rhomboid was slow to begin. Kraken Elroy and Lektra Guiseppe collided soon after the start. Wolf Point checked off Lektra Guiseppe approaching the first turn. Lektra Guiseppe and Fabstar collided approaching the first turn. Kraken Elroy faltered approaching the first turn and pulled up. Lektra Guiseppe, Fabstar and Bushman's Billy collided approaching the first turn. Wolf Point checked off Fabstar entering the home straight. Wolf Point contacted the running rail entering the home straight.
Kraken Elroy was vetted and after being re-vetted following event six, it was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left foreleg stopper, left hindleg torn nail, thoraco-lumbar and right hindleg back muscle injuries, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Wolf Point was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hindleg foot, a five day stand down period was imposed.
