Doc Meaney, Hurricane Cindy, Hurricane Blake and No Sugar were slow to begin.  No Sugar and Galloping Wytee collided soon after the start.  Doc Meaney and No Sugar collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Doc Meaney, Hurricane Blake and Hurricane Cindy.  Zippy Zuri crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Hurricane Billie, Galloping Wytee and Smoke 'Em.  Doc Meaney and Hurricane Cindy collided on the first turn checking Hurricane Cindy.

Stewards spoke to Mr Brendan Moles, the trainer of Crackerjack Man regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Crackerjack Man last raced on 1 March 2018 and is returning after a right metatarsal injury and a change of kennels. Mr. Moles also declared a new weight of 31.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Crackerjack Man last raced at 32.8kg.

Maniac Matilda, Eye Owe You, Acer and Wolowizard collided soon after the start checking Maniac Matilda, Eye Owe You, Acer and Crackerjack Man, Wolowizard fell as a result.  Crackerjack Man was checked off Zippy Terrah in the back straight.  Acer was checked off Tuiaki Dora on the home turn.  Maniac Matilda was checked off Crackerjack Man on the home turn and raced wide.

Wolowizard was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right humerus.  A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Crossfire Icon and My Barcia were slow to begin.  Goldielocks Rose, My Barcia and Hot Finish collided soon after the start.  Elphaba Oz and Major Amor collided approaching the first turn.  Goldielocks Rose and My Barcia collided on the first turn.  Triceps Brachii and Hot Finish collided approaching the second turn.  Elphaba Oz and Major Amor collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Hot Finish was checked off Elphaba Oz entering the back straight checking Major Amor and Goldielocks Rose.  Triceps Brachii and Goldielocks Rose collided on the third turn checking both greyhounds.  My Barcia was checked off Crossfire Icon on the third turn.  Triceps Brachii and My Barcia collided entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Moore regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Hot Finish.  Stewards directed that Hot Finish be boxed first in future events.

Stewards spoke to Ms. C. McMillan regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Miss Hanna Berry.  After hearing Ms. McMillan's explaination Stewards took no further action.

Azure Dragon, Weeona Wilbur, Misty's Boy, Good Old Days, Surfonic Pearl and Prince Stealth collided soon after the start checking Azure Dragon, Misty's Boy, Surfonic Pearl, Prince Stealth and It's Debatable, Surfonic Pearl stumbled as a result.  Azure Dragon and Misty's Boy collided in the back straight.

Joice's Choice was a late scratching at 11:21am due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Galloping Ashley was quick to begin.  All About Arby and Galloping Ashley collided soon after the start checking All About Arby.  Blue Cat Wombat and Gnocchi collided on the first turn checking Gnocchi and Destructo Rat.  Lektra Damage and Blue Alcatraz collided approaching the winning post.

Soda Storm was slow to begin.  Dr. Walter, Silvagni Cubed, Dr. Summer and Penny Black collided on the first turn checking Penny Black.  Weeona Annie was checked off Black Bindi entering the back straight checking Soda Storm.  Weeona Annie was checked off Penny Black on the second turn.  Black Bindi and Dr. Walter collided approaching the home turn checking Soda Storm and Black Bindi.  Penny Black was checked off Dr. Summer on the home turn.  Soda Storm and Black Bindi collided entering the home straight.

Lieu Knee Annie and Bluey Can Fly were slow to begin.  Latissimus Dorsi was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  El Tigera and Cersei collided soon after the start checking El Tigera.  Latissimus Dorsi was checked off Bluey Can Fly approaching the home turn.  Lieu Knee Annie raced wide approaching the home turn.  El Tigera and That Will Be collided approaching the winning post.

Lieu Knee Annie was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained and injured left monkey muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Scooby Boy was slow to begin.  All You Got and Gold Odessa collided approaching the first turn.  Surgical Wally and Brindle Ninja collided approaching the first turn.  Brindle Ninja was checked off Surgical Wally on the first turn.  Marvellous Midge and Scooby Boy collided approaching the home turn.

Scooby Boy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left hind pad, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Five Lights, Mega Secret and Seaton Star were quick to begin.  Scoota Flash was slow to begin.  Mega Secret and Seaton Star collided approaching the first turn checking Seaton Star.  Oz Ten Tatious was checked off Just Blacky on the first turn checking Hello Mr. Duck.  Scoota Flash was checked off Hello Mr. Duck on the first turn.  Simbarea and Oz Ten Tatious collided on the home turn.  Just Blacky raced wide entering the home straight.  Hello Mr. Duck was checked off Oz Ten Tatious approaching the winning post.

Rusty Mia was quick to begin.  Fallen Star, Perfect Hours and Hello Nimble were slow to begin.  Fallen Star and Perfect Hours collided soon after the start.  Early King, Zipping Pedro, Rusty Mia and Penberthy collided approaching the first turn checking Zipping Pedro and Penberthy.  Fallen Star and Penberthy collided on the first turn.  Hello Nimble and Bandit Brad collided on the first turn checking Fallen Star and severely checking Hello Nimble.  Zipping Pedro and Rusty Mia collided approaching the home turn.  Penberthy and Bandit Brad collided approaching the home turn.  Hello Nimble eased approaching the winning post.

Hello Nimble was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted it was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Romagnino the trainer of the greyhound Hello Nimble regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69 (A)(1) Stewards charged Hello Nimble with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Romagnino pleaded guilty to the charge, Hello Nimble was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A):-

Stewards spoke to Mr. William McMahon, the representative of Dr. Yanma regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Dr. Yanma last raced on 16 November 2017 and is returning to racing following  an injury to both hocks. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Dr. Yanma trialled over the 315m from box 8, weight 35.5kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 17.88 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7 lengths. Dr. Yanma was Cleared.
