Stewards inspected the new run back gate and deemed it fit for racing.

At the conclusion of kennelling, the Stewards and Geelong Track Manager walked the track following very heavy rain during kennelling. The track was safe and deemed fit for racing.

Keep On Runnin', Lady Bystander and My Girl Rosie were slow to begin.  Usara Allen checked off Just Talking on the first turn checking Lady Bystander.  Beanie Allen, Our Star, Venus Allen and Just Talking collided on the first turn checking Our Star, Venus Allen and Just Talking.  Lady Bystander checked off Just Talking approaching the home turn.  My Girl Rosie checked off Venus Allen approaching the home turn causing Usara Allen to race wide.

Wendell Allen was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right monkey muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Fawn Regrets and Dyna Gabba were slow to begin.  Counting Pennies checked off Capo on the first turn.  Counting Pennies and Daytona Fernando collided on the first turn.  Capo and Xinnia Allen collided approaching the home turn.  Daytona Fernando checked off Dyna Gabba on the home turn.  Capo checked off Xinnia Allen entering the home straight.  Capo raced wide and cramped in the home straight.

Capo was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained mild cramping.  No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Gatt, the trainer of the greyhound Capo.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
