Yappy Allen was quick to begin. Boone and Hot Finish were slow to begin.
Yappy Allen, In Orbit and George's Fever collided soon after the start, checking all three greyhounds. Hot Finish checked off Dyna Yasso soon after the start. Yappy Allen and In Orbit collided approaching the first turn, checking In Orbit. Boone and Dyna Yasso collided on the first turn. Dyna Yasso raced wide on the first turn, on the second turn, in the back straight and again on the third turn. Twist Allen raced wide in the back straight.
