Stewards spoke to Ms Jess Fothergill, the trainer of the greyhound Buddy's Entity, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Buddy's Entity with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Ms Fothergill pleaded guilty to the charge, Buddy's Entity was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

La Bamba Icon was slow to begin.  Dyna Zapto and Go Natalie Go collided soon after the start, checking Dyna Zapto.  Movie Icon and La Bamba Icon collided approaching the first turn.  Fairytale Ending faltered on the first turn and tailed off.

Fairytale Ending was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 10, it was reported that the greyhound right foreleg shoulder muscle and right hindleg flexor muscle injuries, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Michael Davidson, the trainer of Scarface, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Scarface last raced on 16 December 2017.  Mr Davidson stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season.

Mr Kevin Lingard, trainer of Beast, declared a new weight of 38.0 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Beast last raced at 39.9 kgs.

Heartbreak Hermy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained left hindleg back muscle and thoraco-lumbar injuries, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Tiggerlong Rock was quick to begin.  Tiggerlong Nosey, Lunar Shadow and Our Turbo Girl collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, severely checking Lunar Shadow which collided with Harvey Mills.  Wazza Hawk, Wolf Point and Harvey Mills collided on the first turn.  Wolf Point galloped on the heels of Crackerjack Ale approaching the home turn, checking Crackerjack Ale.  Wazza Hawk raced wide in the home straight.

Malick and Spritely Bob were slow to begin.  Cut Snake was very slow to begin (3L).  All Inn Misshap and Maximum Jan collided soon after the start, checking All Inn Misshap.  All Inn Misshap, Malick, Spritely Bob and Rhomboid collided approaching the first turn.  Malick and Cut Snake collided on the first turn, checking Cut Snake.  Tegz A Riddler, All Inn Misshap and Rhomboid raced wide in the home straight.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Frederick Zeinert, the trainer of Eight Bells Toll, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Eight Bells Toll last raced on 20 November 2017.  Mr Zeinert stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being seasonal.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Eight Bells Toll trialled over the 390m from box eight, weight 27.1 kgs, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four.  The time of the trial was 22:08, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6.75 lengths.  Eight Bells Toll was Cleared.
