Goldie's Nugget, Gypsy Kiowa and Eye Owe You were quick to begin.  Lightfoot Lass and Elphaba Oz collided approaching the first turn checking Lightfoot Lass.  Goldie's Nugget checked off Gypsy Kiowa on the first turn.  My Barcia and Goldie's Nugget collided on the second turn.  My Barcia galloped on Eye Owe You on the second turn severely checking Eye Owe You.  Goldie's Nugget checked off Oni on the second turn.  New Fire Girl and Goldie's Nugget collided approaching the home turn.  New Fire Girl and My Barcia collided approaching the home turn and again in the home straight.

Lightfoot Lass was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hind hamstring injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Eye Owe You was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A pre-race sample was taken from Goodbye Goldie.

Shooters Ali and Goodbye Goldie were slow to begin.  Final Chimes and Shooters Ali collided on the first turn.  Red Octane and Darcon Flash collided on the first turn checking Darcon Flash.  Architecture and Dyna Cadet collided approaching the second turn.  Red Octane raced wide in the back straight.  Shooters Ali and Darcon Flash collided on the third turn.  Red Octane and Darcon Flash raced wide in the home straight.  Final Chimes checked off Shooters Ali approaching the winning post.

Farfalla Nera, Modern Jagger and Misty's Boy were slow to begin.  Belleperi Miss was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Sambucca Rose and Denny Blue collided on the first turn checking Denny Blue.  Farfalla Nera galloped on Denny Blue entering the back straight checking Misty's Boy and Farfalla Nera and severely checking Denny Blue causing Denny Blue to fall.  Modern Jagger checked off Tarquin Bob on the second turn.  Sambucca Rose clipped the heels of Modern Jagger on the first turn.

Denny Blue was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A pre-race sample was taken from Penny Black.

Penny Black, Brandeen Fi, Lightning Lil and Liberty Diamond were slow to begin.  Penny Black and Brandeen Fi collided soon after the start.  Mega Hazel and Cersei collided soon after the start.  Cersei and Mega Hazel collided on the first turn checking Mega Hazel, Brandeen Fi, Timeless Rose and Lightning Lil.  Brandeen Fi, Timeless Rose and Mega Hazel collided in the back straight checking Mega Hazel.  It's Debatable and Penny Black collided on the second turn checking It's Debatable and Cersei.  Cersei and Liberty Diamond collided entering the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Good Odds Ava.

Dr. Eleonora and Slick Maggie collided on the first turn.  Good Odds Ava clipped the heels of Fabulous Gee on the third turn.  Spazzy Blue, Fabulous Gee and Soda Storm collided on the home turn checking Soda Storm.  Slick Maggie and Charlie Haze collided in the home straight.

Soda Storm was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A pre-race sample was taken from Alpanda.

Cruisy's Patch, Surfonic Pearl and Alpanda collided approaching the first turn.  Fairytale Ending, Grey Magic and Red Queen collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Red Queen and Fairytale Ending.  Surfonic Pearl and Alpanda collided on the first turn checking Alpanda.  Red Queen and Alpanda collided approaching the winning post.

Grey Magic was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a dislocated right hind toe, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Due to a technical error with Fasttrack, Stewards noted that the form guide did not reflect that Dr Condor recently completed a satisfactory Trial at Traralgon on 16 April, 2018.

Mr. Jason Formosa, the representative of Red Lagoon declared a new weight of 29.0kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Red Lagoon last raced at 27.7kgs.

A pre-race sample was taken from Dr. Condor.

Elswyk Max was quick to begin.  Dr. Condor was slow to begin.  Aremac Igor and Dr. Condor collided soon after the start checking Dr. Condor.  Artistic Alyssa, Red Lagoon and Mrs Jawa collided approaching the first turn.  Red Lagoon checked off Mrs. Jawa on the first turn.  Mrs. Jawa and All About Arby collided on the first turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Porscha's Girl.

Boof's Banjo was slow to begin.  Dr. Luvdisc checked off Magic Euphoria approaching the first turn checking Boof's Banjo.  Porscha's Girl and Pistol collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn and entering the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Elram Girl.

Petite Harbour and My Miss Molly collided soon after the start.  Elram Girl lost ground approaching the first turn and collided with Shogun Sammy.  Five Lights and My Miss Molly collided on the first turn checking My Miss Molly.  Shogun Sammy and Elram Girl collided on the home turn.

Elram Girl was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left triangle muscle injury, a 28 day stand down period was imposed. Mr Jack, ther trainer of Elram girl  was advised that he must seek follow up veterinary care for the greyhound within three days. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Shane Jack, the trainer of Elram Girl regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn. Mr Jack started that in his opinion the greyhound often has trouble navigating the first turn at this track. Stewards consulted with the on-course veterinarian who stated that Elram Girl was found to have swelling and pain to the left triangle muscle and will require strict rest and further veterinary treatment in the coming days. Stewards took into consideration the veterinary report and could not be comfortably satisfied that a failing to chase charge was appropriate on this occassion.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Placid Pause trialled over the 315m from box 3, weight 26.1kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.76, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4.25 lengths.  Placid Pause was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (Blinkers) - Mega McKayla trialled over the 315m from box 1, weight 24.6kgs,  the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.76, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.75 lngths.  Mega McKayla was Cleared To Race In Right Blinker.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Cheeky Shadow trialled over the 315m from box 8, weight 29.7kgs,  the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.76, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6 lengths.  Cheeky Shadow was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Wild Hunny trialled over the 395m from box 1, weight 28.3kgs,  the greyhound was placed 5th in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 23.48, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6.75 lengths.  Wild Hunny was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Our Aqua Blue trialled over the 395m from box 8, weight 29.9kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 23.48, the greyhound won by a margin of .25 lengths.  Our Aqua Blue was Cleared.
