Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Idaho Blue.
Tiger Tees was quick to begin. Communique and Seeka Moment collided soon after the start. Our China Plate, Siamese Dream and Tiger Tees collided approaching the first turn, checking Tiger Tees. Seeka Moment, Communique and Lancome Lady collided on the first turn, checking Lancome Lady. Idaho Blue checked off Seeka Moment approaching the home turn, checking Shimmy Dat Ray and Communique. Seeka Moment and Siamese Dream collided approaching the winning post.
Tiger Tees was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to Trainer Tony Duncan regarding the race manner of Tiger Tees in the back straight. Mr Duncan explained that the greyhound can be hesitant around other dogs. Stewards established that Tiger Tees began well and clearly led the field in the back straight before Siamese Dream approached on the outside, soon after Siamese Dream crosses to the rail and checks Tiger Tees. Without supporting evidence of back straight head on vision Stewards could not be comfortably satisfied to the required standard that Tiger Tees had eased of its own accord and that Siamese Dream was not bumping with Tiger Tees prior to crossing to the rail and checking Tiger Tees. As such no action was taken against Tiger Tees.
