Steward's Report
Miss Fudge and Mini Fernando were slow to begin. Coco Bongo went up with the lids at box rise and lost ground. Piper's Unicorn, Classy Vanda and Akut collided soon after the start, checking all three greyhounds. Classy Vanda and Coco Bongo collided approaching the first turn. Akut and Redhead Chez collided approaching the first turn, checking Redhead Chez. Miss Fudge tailed the field throughout.
Miss Fudge was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. T Boehmke regarding the performance of Miss Fudge in this event. Mr Boehmke explained that the greyhound had ran well in a recent trial at Bendigo and was expecting a better showing today. Mr Boehmke further added that he will be sending the greyhound for some re-education and also give the greyhound a brief let up from racing before trying again as the greyhound has only had two race starts. The comments of Mr Boehmke were noted.
