Stewards spoke to Ms Kerry Houlahan, the trainer of Gypsy Rules regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Gypsy Rules last raced on 14 Jan 2018. Ms Houlahan stated that the greyhound has had a change of kennel.  

Irish Swagger was quick to begin.

Perplexing, Hello Beryl, Gypsy Rules and Militant Mack collided soon after the start checking Gypsy Rules, Hello Beryl and Perplexing. Mia Maestro checked off Unique Honour on the first turn. Militant Mack raced wide approaching the home turn causing Mia Maestro to race wide. Hello Beryl, raced wide entering the home straight. Perplexing marred the running of Irish Swagger in the home straight. Irish Swagger and Perplexing collided approaching the winning post.

Perplexing was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Jordan Formosa,the representative of the greyhound Perplexing regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting underGAR 69(1)stewards charged Perplexing with marring. Mr. Formosa pleaded guilty to the charge, Perplexing was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Cullquin Bron and It's A Diva were slow to begin.

Apache Oasis, Red Octane and Cullquin Cersei collided on the first turn checking Cullquin Cersei. Cullquin Cersei checked off Apache Oasis entering the back straight. Red Octane raced wide in the back straight. Cullquin Brown, Cullquin Cersei and It's A Diva collided approaching the second turn checking Cullquin Cersei. Red Octane raced wide in the home straight. It's A Diva and Hello Cobber collided in the home straight checking Hello Cobber. Hello Cobber tired over the concluding stages.

Hello Cobber was vetted following the event and re-vetted following event 5. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right elbow. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Trainer, Scott Melville, regarding the manner in which Hello Cobber raced in the home straight and the nomination of this greyhound over this distance.  Mr Melville stated that he nominated the greyhound in the belief that the 500m was an easier run than at Sandown and The Meadows, however, the greyhound's performance today showed that Hello Cobber does not have the ability to run at this distance after the greyhound tired in the home straight.  After taking into consideration the explanation of Mr Melville and the injuries sustained to the greyhound, Stewards took no further action after Mr. Melville advised that he would drop the greyhound in distance at future starts.

Apache Oasis was vetted following the event and re-vetted following event 5. It was reported that the greyhound had shin soreness in the left foreleg. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr Scott Stefanos, regarding the manner in which Apache Oasis raced in the home straight.  After taking into consideration the injuries sustained to the greyhound, Stewards took no action against the greyhound as they believed the injuries sustained contributed to its performance in the home straight.

Samira's Magic and My Rag Doll collided soon after the start checking Samira's Magic. Trouble Brewing and Rustic Rose collided soon after the start checking Trouble Brewing. Al's In Trouble and Badelaide Road collided approaching the first turn checking Al's In Trouble. Rustic Rose crossed to the rail approacing the first turn checking Badelaide Road and My Rag Doll. Rustic Rose galloped on the heels of Just Over on the firstturn checking My Rag Doll and severely checking Rustic Rose.Badelaide Road checked off Rustic Rose approaching the home turn checking Al's In Trouble. Samira's magic raced wide entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Ploeger, handler regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Al's In Trouble. Stewards directed that Al's In Trouble be boxed first in future events.

Buzz Off Mumma and Flying Rose collided approaching the first turn. Crackerjack Mick and Unique Spirit collided approaching the first turn. Buzz Off Mumma and Flying Rose collided on the first turn checking Buzz Off Mumma. Buzz Off Mumma checked off Communique on the first turn severely checking Buzz Off Mumma which brushed the running rail as a result in turn severely checking Crackerjack Mick and Unique Spirit as a result.

Buzz Off Mumma was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to a right nail. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Tron's Empire and All Inn Johnson were slow to begin. Bomber Lane and All Inn Youi collided approaching the first turn checking Bomber Lane. Top Alcohol and All Inn Youi collided approaching the first turn checking Top Alcohol, Tron's Empire and Bomber Lane. Pinciotti and Cinnamon Cindy collided approaching the home turn checking Cinnamon Cindy and Tophat And Tails. Top Alcohol and Bomber Lane collided on the home turn checking Top Alcohol.

Tron's Empire was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hind toe. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Misty's Boy and Tat Warby collided soon after the start checking Tat Warby. Greg's Prince, Idaho Blue and Launch Time collided approaching the first turn checking Greg's Prince. Launch Time, Idaho Blue and Gunmetal Liam collided on the first turn checking Idaho Blue and Gunmetal Liam. You Bandit and Tat Warby collided on the home turn checking You Bandit. You Bandit and Launch Time collided entering the home straight and several times in the home straight. Tat Warby marred Short Leash in the home straight and approaching the winning post.

Tat Warby was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Warburton, the trainer of the greyhound Tat Warby regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight and approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Tat Warby with marring. Mr. Warburton pleaded guilty to the charge, Tat Warby was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Beer On Tap, Tat Barbie and She's Fabtastic collided soon after the start causing Tat Barbie to fall. Why Not Maxine, Maximum Joan and Snap Loch collided on the first turn checking Maximum Joan. Run It Straight and Reverend John collided in the back straight checking Reverend John. She's Fabtastic checked off Snap Loch approaching the second turn. Reverend John and Snap Loch collided approaching the home turn checking Reverend John. She's Fabtastic and Snap Loch collided approaching the home turn causing Snap Loch to stumble. Reverend John and Snap Loch collided on the home turn checking Reverend John.

Tat Barbie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion and a laceration to the left hind and left fore feet. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.  Stewards noted that the muzzle of Tat Barbie became detached upon falling.

Sudoku Baby, Eftpos Jess and Mini Sticka collided on the first turn checking Eftpos Jess and Mini Sticka. Kilty Jewel checked off Eftpos Jess approaching the home turn. Better Way and Eftpos Jess collided entering the home straight causing both greyhounds to race wide.

Bev's Girl was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a back muscle injury. A stand down period of 60 days was imposed.
