A pre-race sample was taken from In A Spin.
Doused In Mud, Lakeview Maisey, Dead Eye Dickson and Labuan Starfish collided soon after the start, checking Labuan Starfish, Dead Eye Dickson and Lakeview Maisey. Dead Eye Dickson faltered approaching the second turn and subsequently tailed off. Nicky Neo and In A Spin collided on the third turn. Lakeview Maisey raced wide in the back straight and the home straight.
Dead Eye Dickson was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left foreleg monkey muscle injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
