Steward's Report
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Reality Hawk engaged in this event on 7th May 2018 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Stewards spoke to Mr R. Brittain, the handler of Reality Hawk regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Reality Hawk last raced on 7 December 2017. Mr Brittain stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a change of kennels. Mr. Brittain also declared a new weight of 35.6kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Reality Hawk last raced at 34.5kg.
Tegz A Riddler and Sariah Allen collided approaching the first turn. Proven Legacy, Tegz A Riddler and Wicked Pedro collided on the first turn checking Tegz A Riddler and Sariah Allen. Tegz A Riddler, Sariah Allen and Iceni Ryder collided approaching the home turn checking Sariah Allen.
A sample was taken from Wicked Pedro - winner of the event.
Meeting Comments:-
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Harding, the trainer of Trish's Delight regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Trish's Delight last raced on 28th August 2017. Mr. Harding stated that the greyhound was resuming racing from a seasonal spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Trish's Delight trialled over the 390mt from box 8, weight 28.8kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.37, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 9.75L. Trish's Delight was cleared.
