Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Leslie Hughes, the trainer of Salty Pat, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Salty Pat last raced at Sandown Park on 7 January 2018. Mr Hughes stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a split webbing injury to the left front foot.
Wolf Point was slow to begin.
Blackjack's Back and Salty Pat collided at the 300m mark, checking Salty Pat.
Salty Pat was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the cervico-thoracic area. A seven-day stand down period was imposed.
