Good One Carl was a late scratching at 3:44 pm, due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Ms Donna Dean was fined the sum of $100.
A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Ko Mai Si, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.
Happy Cruising and Aeroplane Bella were slow to begin. Poppy Yaala and Swift Mandy collided soon after the start. Ko Mai Si and Aeroplane Bella collided on the first turn, checking Aeroplane Bella and Happy Cruising. Murrabit Tiny raced wide on the home turn. Aeroplane Bella and Murrabit Tiny collided approaching the winning post.
