Golden Aura and Special Drop collided soon after the start. Macelon and Ultimate Amadeus collided approaching the first turn. Special Drop and Becket collided approaching the first turn. Macelon and Bombastic Trixie collided on the first turn checking Macelon. Becket, Ultimate Amadeus and Bombastic Trixie collided on the first turn. Bombastic Trixie Special Drop collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Macelon clipped the heels of Bombastic Trixie on the home turn. Macelon and Special Drop collided on the home turn checking Bombastic Trixie. Mema Wibble raced wide in the home straight. Macelon faltered approaching the winning post.
Macelon was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to left back muscle, the back and the left home leg. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.
