Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Amani upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Stewards spoke to Ms D.Coleman, the trainer of Eureka Creek regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Eureka Creek last raced on 26 December 2017. Ms Coleman stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after having an injured front left fore paw.
My Cousin Jim was slow to begin. Monaro Joe, Goodnight Irene, My Cousin Jim and Riccarton collided soon after the start checking Monaro Joe. Goodnight Irene contacted the running rail approaching the first turn approaching the first turn checking Goodnight Irene which collided with Monaro Joe. Monaro Joe and Riccarton collided on the first turn. Monaro Joe clipped the heels of Riccarton approaching the home turn. My Cousin Jim and Go Alice Go collided approaching the home turn and on the home turn. Riccarton and Amani collided entering the home straight. Goodnight Irene, Riccarton and Amani collided approaching the winning post.
Goodnight Irene was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
