Steward's Report
Montana Fernando was slow to begin.
Destini Exactor and Boney Power collided soon after the start. Gunna Be Hoping and Miss Skye High collided soon after the start. Gunna Be Hoping checked off Miss Skye High approaching the first turn. Destini Exactor checked off Al's In Trouble approaching the first turn causing Al's In Trouble to stumble with Destini Exactor and Miss Skye High to fall. Montana Fernando and Blondy Two collided on the first turn. Boney Power and Dyna Carl collided entering the home straight. Dyna Carl veered in and marred Boney Power in the home straight. Dyna Carl and Boney Power collided several times in the home straight.
Destini Exactor was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained bruising over left lumbo muscle (saddle), a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Miss Skye High was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Dyna Carl was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left toe collateral ligament rupture, minor lacerations to the left hind paw and over hock, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr J. Collins, the trainer of the greyhound Dyna Carl regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Dyna Carl with marring. Mr Collins pleaded guilty to the charge, Dyna Carl was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
