Supplementary Report

Stewards finalised an inquiry from the Geelong meeting held on March 27 2018, regarding an incident behind the starting boxes. Both starter Mr J. Nicholls and licenced trainer Mr M. Lloyd were given an offical caution regarding their behaviour.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Fish Armo and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 3.14pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr C. Armstrong was fined the sum of $100.

Mr J. Willoughby, the representative of Daytona Fernando declared a new weight of 27.5kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Daytona Fernando last raced at 26.0kgs.

Joe Panther, Gunmetal Liam and Mrs. Hardwicke were slow to begin.

Speedway Chick checked off Flamin' Miracle soon after the start.  Gunmetal Liam and Mrs. Hardwicke collided soon after the start.  Daytona Fernando and Flamin' Miracle collided approaching the first turn.  Speedway Chick and Miss Fagan collided approaching the first turn checking Gunmetal Liam; Flamin' Miracle and Mrs. Hardwicke were severely checked as a result.  Daytona Fernando and Flamin' Miracle collided approaching the home turn causing Miss Fagan to check off Daytona Fernando causing Flamin' Miracle to fall as a result.  Speedway Chick shifted out on the home turn and collided with Daytona Fernando.  Speedway Chick checked off Daytona Fernando entering the home straight.

Stewards issued a warning to Ms J. Fothergill, the trainer of Speedway Chick regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.

Flamin' Miracle was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained minor lacerations to the right stopper and left forehind, a left thigh, triangle and back muscle injuries, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Joe Panther - winner of the event.

Montana Fernando was slow to begin.

Destini Exactor and Boney Power collided soon after the start.  Gunna Be Hoping and Miss Skye High collided soon after the start.  Gunna Be Hoping checked off Miss Skye High approaching the first turn.  Destini Exactor checked off Al's In Trouble approaching the first turn causing Al's In Trouble to stumble with Destini Exactor and Miss Skye High to fall.  Montana Fernando and Blondy Two collided on the first turn.  Boney Power and Dyna Carl collided entering the home straight.  Dyna Carl veered in and marred Boney Power in the home straight.  Dyna Carl and Boney Power collided several times in the home straight.  

Destini Exactor was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained bruising over left lumbo muscle (saddle), a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Miss Skye High was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Dyna Carl was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left toe collateral ligament rupture, minor lacerations to the left hind paw and over hock, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Collins, the trainer of the greyhound Dyna Carl regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Dyna Carl with marring. Mr Collins pleaded guilty to the charge, Dyna Carl was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Hard Man Chapta and Almani Tee Rex were slow to begin.

Bakali Louis and Miss Payne collided soon after the start.  Ohio Fernando and Miss Payne collided approaching the first turn checking Ohio Fernando.  Dyna Gunner and Marlucky Day collided on the first turn checking Gin Lee's Bullet.  Miss Payne checked off Ohio Fernando approaching the home turn.  Marlucky Day checked off Gin Lee's Bullet on the home turn.  Miss Payne checked off Gin Lee's Bullet entering the home straight.  Almani Tee Rex checked off Marlucky Day entering the home straight.

Trainer A. Walsh advised Stewards after the event that Marlucky Day raced without tape on its right wrist.

You're Welcome was very slow to begin (1 length).

Cullquin Abbey checked off Johnny Dunbar soon after the start.  Slipperette checked off Johnny Dunbar approaching the first turn severely checking Slipperette.  Cullquin Abbey and You're Welcome collided on the first turn.  Slipperette checked off You're Welcome on the first turn severely checking Slipperette.  Johnny Dunbar and Pharoah's Dream raced wide on the home turn.  Johnny Dunbar checked off Pharoah's Dream entering the home straight.  Dyna Elise and Cairnlea Rosie collided approaching the winning post.

Scot's Dunker and Raloo Barbara were very slow to begin (1 length).

Nitro Heroine and Beyond Today collided soon after the start checking Barnie's Blaster.  Barnie's Blaster checked off Nitro Heroine approaching the first turn.  Nitro Heroine and Beyond Today collided approaching the first turn and on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds.  Avatar Sparkle checked off Scot's Dunker entering the home straight.  

Nitro Heroine was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right monkey muscle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Beyond Today was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a small abrasion to the left fore paw, no stand down period was imposed.

Dashing Moments was slow to begin.

Patchie Thief and Just Run Left collided approaching the first turn checking Just Run Left.  Joycee Rae checked off Fred's My Name approaching the first turn.  Just Run Left checked off Dashing Moments on the first turn causing Just Run Left to falter.  Patchie Thief and Fred's My Name collided approaching the home turn.  Dashing Moments checked off Solo approaching the home turn.

Just Run Left was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a minor abrasion to the left hind paw, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Simply Good was a late scratching at 3.56pm due to a transport breakdown (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr M. Lowe was fined the sum of $100. Percent 

Blazing Lane was slow to begin.

Blonde Yappa checked off Suitress approaching the first turn checking Blonde Yappa.  Blazing Lane checked off Rocket Riley approaching the first turn checking Blazing Lane.  Blonde Yappa and Kilty Jewel collided several times in the home straight.

Dee Big Rig checked off Super Tokachi approaching the first turn.  Cette To Dance checked off Home Runner approaching the first turn.  Home Runner checked off Super Tokachi on the first turn checking Home Runner.  Cette To Dance and Dee Big Rig collided on the first turn checking Dee Big Rig.  Bageera and Zipping King collided several times in the home straight.

Emgee Sprinter was very slow to begin (2 lengths).

Leeroy Rox checked off South Of Eden approaching the first turn checking Charlotte Allen and Dyna Lenae in turn severely checking Leeroy Rox as a result.  Dyna LLenae and Spotted label collided on the first turn checking Spotted Label.  Emgee Sprinter and South Of Eden collided approaching the home turn.  Charolette Allen and Dyna Lenae raced wide on the home turn.  Ben's Talon and Leeroy Rox collided approaching the winning post.

Mr T. Meyer, trainer of Bob Carringbush declared a new weight of 30.4kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Bob Carringbush last raced at 32.0kgs.

Tribe and Miss Camelot collided soon after the start. Miss Camelot checked off Princess Parker soon after the start.  Oshkosh Gypsy checked off Monoak approaching the first turn severely checking Oshkosh Gypsy.  Merl's Blaze checked off Cawbourne Lambo approaching the home turn.  Oshkosh Gypsy checked off Cawbourne Lambo approaching the home turn.  Tribe and Monoak collided several times on the home turn.  Merl's Blaze raced wide on the home turn.

Calabrese Bullet was quick to begin.  Outta Ammo, Wise Lewis and Macfid Magic were slow to begin.

Dorset Dasha and Miss Jacky collided soon after the start and approaching the first turn checking Miss Jacky.  Rockin' Joe checked off Tinker Buzz soon after the start.  Miss Jacky and Outta Ammo collided on the home turn.  Rockin' Joe raced wide on the home turn.  Tinker Buzz and Wise Lewis collided in the home straight.

Dyna Winkler and Miss Twerker were slow to begin.

Miss Twerker checked off Pandora's Galaxy soon after the start checking Miss Twerker.  Pandora's Galaxy and See Ya Mate collided on the first turn checking Pandora's Galaxy.  Dyna Winkler and Take My Money collided on the first turn.  Blackpool Blast and Riverdale Paddy collided approaching the winning post.

Zipping Nessy trialled over the 400mtrs from box 1, weight 26.4kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.00, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of ¾ length. Zipping Nessy was Cleared.

Kate's Boy trialled over the 400mtrs from box 3, weight 33.4kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.00, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of  3.3/4 lengths. Kate's Boy was Cleared.

Wok Djay trialled over the 400mtrs from box 8, weight 33.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.00, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.3/4 lengths. Wok Djay was Cleared.

Gregorovitch trialled over the 460mtrs from box 1, weight 39.1kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 25.76, the greyhound won by a margin of 4 ¾ lengths. Gregorovitch was Cleared.

Alpha Aion trialled over the 460mtrs from box 7, weight 33.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 25.76, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4 ¾ lengths.  Alpha Aion was Cleared.

Destini Lima trialled over the 460mtrs from box 3, weight 38.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 5th in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 25.76, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 28 ¼ lengths.  Destini Lima was Not Cleared.
