Stewards spoke to Mr D Jefferies, the trainer of Darb's The Man regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Darb's The Man last raced on 13 November 2017. Mr Jefferies stated that  the greyhound was resuming from a change of kennel.

Hot Devil and Cash No Bounce were slow to begin. Dyna Yona, Darb's The Man, Dyna Carl and Chapta Lee collided soon after the start checking Darb's The Man and Dyna Carl. Hot Devil, Dyna Carl and Darb's The Man collided soon after the start checking Darb's The Man. Cash No Bounce, Fawn Illusion, Doran's Flame, Chapta Lee and Dyna Yona collided on the first turn checking Fawn Illusion, Dyna Carl and Dyna Yona. Dyna Carl checked off Dyna Yona approaching the home turn. Cash No Bounce and Chapta Lee collided several times from the home turn to approaching the winning post.

Sassy Sultana was quick to begin. Miss Blue, Undenied Access and Mira's Potion were slow to begin. Whoomph and Sassy Sultana collided soon after the start checking Whoomph and Marlucky Day. Mira's Potion and Whoomph collided approaching the first turn checking Whoomph which contacted the running rail and lost ground as a result. Whoomph contacted the running rail approaching the home turn and lost ground as a result. Undenied Access and Arnie Allen collided on the home turn. Antarctic Lass checked off Miss Blue on the home turn. Undenied Access and Arnie Allen collided several times in the home straight.

Undenied Access was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Mesmerized was a late scratching at 14:23 due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre race sample was taken from Power To Wyn.

The start of this event was delayed approximately one minute due to Sunshine Coast gallops race 1 running behind schedule.

Bear's Legacy was slow to begin. Dyna Gabba and Dyna Xara collided soon after the start checking Dyna Xara. Bowon Approach and Chochlik collided soon after the start checking Chochlik. Power To Wyn, Dyna Gabba and Dynamic Street collided approaching the first trun checking Dyna Gabba and Dynamic Street. Bowon Approach faltered approaching the first turn.

Bowon Approach was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right monkey muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Madam Butterfly was quick to begin. Aeroplane Indy and Limburg Gunna collided soon after the start checking Limburg Gunna, Samsonite and Zipping Chaser. Like A Rocket and Aeroplane Indy collided on the first turn checking Aeroplane Indy. Mepunga Zeus and Dyna Owen collided on the first turn. Limburg Gunna crossed to the outside entering the home straight. Samsonite and Mepunga Zeus raced wide in the home straight.

Rock It Ronny and Shannah's Gift collided soon after the start. Finty Allen, Possibly and Crump's Princess collided soon after the start. Cruising Suzie checked off She's Wicked on the first turn. Possibly crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Fonty Allen and Crump's Princess. Shannah's Gift checked off Rock It Ronny approaching the home turn. Fonty Allen and Possibly collided on the home turn. Cruising Suzie cramped approaching the winning post and lost ground.

Cruising Suzie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound severely cramped, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs L. Delbridge, representative of the greyhound Cruising Suzie. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted

Roll 'Em Maggie was quick to begin. Loch Monster, Bugs Boloney and Nash Road Betty collided soon after the start. Roll 'Em Maggie and Ima Ruby collided approaching the first turn and on the first turn. Loch Monster, Bugs Boloney and Nash Road Betty collided on the first turn. Roll 'Em Maggie and Ima Ruby collided appraoching the home turn. Nash Road Betty galloped on the heels of Weeona Raph approaching the home turn severely checking Nash Road Betty and severely checking Weeona Raph and Bugs Boloney which both fell as a result.

Weeona Raph was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right quadricep injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Bugs Boloney was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a sparin to the right wrist and a lumbo - sacral injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre race sample was taken from Rumble Drive.

Rumble Drive was slow to begin. Loch Tight and Rumble Drive collided soon after the start checking Rumble Drive. Crackerjack Daza and Our Didda collided on the first turn. Rumble Drive and Crackerjack Daza raced wide on the home turn. Mepunga Bella and Unmid Bale collided on the home turn. Rumble Drive crossed to the outside entering the home straight.

Tiggerlong Zorro was quick to begin. Spudtacular was slow to begin. Blue Gum Hill and Rig Fifty Five collided soon after the start checking Rig Fifty Five. Lost Love and Lylah's Way collided approaching the first turn. Lost Love and Rig Fifty Five collided on the first turn. Blue Gum Hill and Spudtacular collided on the first turn checking Spudtacular.

Tiggerlong Zorro was vetted following the event. It was reported there was no apparent injury found.

Fat Rhino galloped on the heels of Nambrok Agent soon after the start checking Fat Rhino and severely checking Nambrok Agent. Mickie Raven, Just Curious and Broken Axle collided soon after the start checking Broken Axle. Myrrdon, Winlock Ludacris and Mickie Raven  collided approaching the first turn checking Mickie Raven. Myrrdon, Pius Thicknesse and Broken Axle collided on the first turn checking Pius Thicknesse and Broken Axle. Just Curious and Pius Thicknesse collided on the first turn checking Pius Thicknesse. Fat Rhino galloped on Just Curious approaching the home turn. Broken Axle and Myrrdon collided entering the home straight. Just Curious and Myrrdon collided approaching the winning post.

Nambrok Agent was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Fine Edge was a late scratching at 18:16 due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Jason Wickham was fined the sum of $100.

Big Tilly was slow to begin. I'm All One, Rocky Rooster and Crocodile Dunphy collided soon after the start checking Crocodile Dunphy. Foxy Molly, Rocky Rooster, I'm All One and Aston Veloci collided approaching the first turn checking I'm All One, Rocky Rooster, Aston Veloci and Crocodile Dunphy. Aston Veloci and I'm All One collided on the home turn.

A pre race sample was taken from Elle Gazelle.

Lonesome Spring went up with the lids and lost ground (4L). Elle Gazelle, Destini Radar and Deep Creek Girl collided approaching the first trun checking Destini Radar and Deep Creek Girl. Weeona Pearl and Gin Lee's Pride collided on the first turn checking Gin Lee's Pride. Gin Lee's Pride galloped on Elle Gazelle on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Destini Radar and Deep Creek Girl collided on the home turn and several times approaching the winning post.

Destini Florida was a late scratching at 18:45 due to non arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Geoff Smith was fined the sum of $100 and will be further contacted regarding the reason for the non-arrival of the greyhound.

Weeona Annie was slow to begin. Ikon Parker, Logistic Kid and Anustar collided approaching the first turn severely checking Logistic Kid and Anustar. Dyna Vagrant and Weeona Annie collided on the first turn and approaching the home turn checking Dyna Vagrant and severely checking Weeona Annie. Anustar checked off Weeona Annie entering the home straight.

Weeona Annie was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
