Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Brett Mackie, the trainer of Lully Singh, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Lully Singh last raced on 3 December 2017. Mr Mackie stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being seasonal. Mr Mackie also declared a new weight of 25.0 kgs for Lully Singh in accordance with GAR 39(2). Lully Singh last raced at 26.1 kgs.
Bejarano and So It Goes were slow to begin. Lully Singh, Ita Louisa, So It Goes and Rapid Belle Noir collided on the first turn. It's A Thrill and Tyche Onyx collided approaching the second turn. Bejarano and Ita Louisa collided approaching the second turn. So It Goes checked off Lully Singh on the second turn. Rapid Belle Noir faltered and lost ground on the second turn. Lully Singh raced wide in the back straight. Staggerism faltered and lost ground in the back straight. Staggerism and Rapid Belle Noir collided on the third turn, severely checking both greyhounds; causing Rapid Belle Noir to stumble and lose ground.
Staggerism was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg hock injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
