Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. O. McGovern, the representative of Funda Down regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Funda Down last raced on 6th October, 2017. Mr. McGovern stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a left hock and left shoulder injury.
Mr. O. McGovern, the representative of Funda Down declared a new weight of 39.0kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Funda Down last raced at 40.6kgs.
A pre-race sample was taken from Oriental Tarj.
First Refusal was slow to begin. Where's Marcia, La Tiana, Freak Unleashed and Oriental Tarj collided approaching the first turn checking La Tiana and Freak Unleashed. Where's Marcia, Oriental Tarj and Folding Green collided on the first turn checking Where's Marcia and Folding Green. Oriental Tarj and Folding Green collided entering the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Ms. R. Romyn regarding the direction that the greyhound be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.
