Stewards spoke to Kennel Attendant, Mr. Brayden Crawley after the incorrect greyhound was retrieved from it's kennel in this event.  Mr. Crawley was issued a warning and the matter was referred on to the Club Manager for further consideration.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Lindrea after the incorrect greyhound was retrieved from it's kennel in this event.  Stewards issued a charge in accordance with GAR 86 (O) in that he negligently removed the greyhound  (Kloss) from kennel number 6. Mr. Lindrea pleaded guilty to the charge.  He was found guilty and fined the sum of $150.

Janray Squawker was quick to begin.  Greg's Prince and Drama Club collided soon after the start checking Drama Club.  Macalister Tiger, Janray Squawker and New Fire Girl collided soon after the start checking Macalister Tiger, Greg's Prince and Bowie Boy.  Leica Diva and New Fire Girl collided on the first turn.  Drama Club checked off Greg's Prince on the home turn.  Leica Diva and Janray Squawker collided in the home straight.  Leica Diva marred Janray Squawker in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Leica Diva was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right foreleg.  No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Booker, the trainer of the greyhound Leica Diva regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Leica Diva with marring.  Mr. Booker pleaded guilty to the charge, Leica Diva was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Shields, the representative of the greyhound Miriam's Wish regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Miriam's Wish with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Ms. Shields pleaded not guilty to the charge, Miriam's Wish was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. L Fulford representative of Cosmic Reign and reminded him of his responsibilities after he failed to engage a catcher for this event (GAR 48).

Wild Hunny was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Tarika Tara was a late scratching at 11:45 am due to a vehicle breakdown (GAR 31).  Mr.T.Churchill,  trainer of Tarika Tara provided evidence of the breakdown to Stewards and no standown period was imposed.

Shiro was quick to begin.  Shiro checked off Zebo Bale approaching the first turn.  Shiro and Good Odds Ava collided several times approaching the home turn and on the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Stewards spoke to Mr. O. McGovern, the representative of Funda Down regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Funda Down last raced on 6th October, 2017.  Mr. McGovern stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a left hock and left shoulder injury.

Mr. O. McGovern, the representative of Funda Down declared a new weight of 39.0kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Funda Down last raced at 40.6kgs.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results - Pancake trialled over the 440m from box 1, weight 26.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 24.91, the greyhound won by a margin of 13 lengths.  Pancake was Cleared.
