Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Trevor Whitford, the trainer of Any Other Union, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Any Other Union last raced on 16 November 2017 and is returning after a right shoulder injury.
Fashion Queen and Shimmy Dat Ray were slow to begin.
Razzle Oak checked off Challis Sprite approaching the 250m mark. Wiggle Emma and Any Other Union collided at the 250m mark, checking Fashion Queen. All Revved Up and Razzle Oak collided at the 200m mark, checking Razzle Oak. All Revved Up and Fifty Dollar collided several times from the 100m mark to the 50m mark. Fashion Queen and Shimmy Dat Ray collided at the 50m mark, in turn checking Fashion Queen which brushed the running rail as a result. Wiggle Emma and Shimmy Dat Ray collided approaching the winning post.
Fashion Queen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.
Any Other Union was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right biceps femoris (thigh) muscle. A seven-day stand down period was imposed.
