Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Cosmic Fox.
Run Rita Run and Pop The Trunk were slow to begin. Mister Heeney checked off Pop The Trunk in the back straight. Cosmic Fox raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight. Zipping Selma veered out and marred the running of Pop The Trunk in the home straight.
Zipping Selma was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Ms. M. Payne, the trainer of the greyhound Zipping Selma regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Zipping Selma with marring. Ms. Payne pleaded guilty to the charge, Zipping Selma was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
MEETING COMMENTS:
Satisfactory Trial Results - Caramel Opal trialled over the 440m from box 8, weight 29.1kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.04, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.75 lengths. Caramel Opal was Cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results - Flash Frankie trialled over the 440m from box 1, weight 34.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.04, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 12 lengths. Flash Frankie was Cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results - Beaver Neveelk trialled over the 440m from box 3, weight 31.5kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.04, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 15 lengths. Beaver Neveelk was Cleared.
