Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Chatwin the representative of Flaming Brooke regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.  After viewing the race footage and taking into consideration their own observations, stewards took no further action.

It's Fresh was vetted and after being re vetted following event 3, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Ohana Lad was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained left hind muscle soreness, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Annasay and Dashing Max were quick to begin.  Oz Wizard, Vladimir Rose and Cosmic Reign were slow to begin.  Azure Dragon and Vladimir Rose collided on the first turn.  Dashing Max and Azure Dragon collided entering the home straight. Dashing Max eased entering the home straight and collided with Azure Dragon.

Dashing Max was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Brown, the trainer of the greyhound Dashing Max regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1)  stewards charged Dashing Max with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Brown pleaded not guilty to the charge, Dashing Max was found guilty and suspended for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Krypto Jam was slow to begin.  Alabar crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Enzo, Macalister Mac and What's Up Skip.  Enzo and Macalister Mac collided on the first turn checking Macalister Mac.  Our Echo Rose and Quirky collided approaching the home turn checking Quirky.  What's Up Skip and Krypto Jam collided approaching the home turn checking Krypto Jam.  

Macalister Mac was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have left hamstring muscle soreness, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Shamus Mac was slow to begin.  Wilburn and Alamo Mike collided on the first turn severely checking Wilburn.  Wilburn and Potere collided on the first turn.

Stewards spoke to Ms. M. Payne, the trainer of the greyhound Zipping Selma regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Zipping Selma with marring.  Ms. Payne pleaded guilty to the charge, Zipping Selma was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results -  Caramel Opal trialled over the 440m from box 8, weight 29.1kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 25.04, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.75 lengths.  Caramel Opal was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Flash Frankie trialled over the 440m from box 1, weight 34.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 25.04, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 12 lengths.  Flash Frankie was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Beaver Neveelk trialled over the 440m from box 3, weight 31.5kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.04, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 15 lengths.  Beaver Neveelk was Cleared.
