Secret Love was quick to begin. Qatar Girl and It's Fresh were slow to begin. Almani Jet, Expense Eve and Qatar Girl collided approaching the first turn. Expense Eve and Beau Gem collided on the first turn. Secret Love clipped the heels of Ohana Lad on the first turn. Ohana Lad and Flaming Brooke collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Chatwin the representative of Flaming Brooke regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn. After viewing the race footage and taking into consideration their own observations, stewards took no further action.

Ohana Lad was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained left hind muscle soreness, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
