A pre-race sample was taken from Goorawin.
Ants In Pants and Call Me Waylan were slow to begin. Goorawin, Blue Alcatraz and Black Bindi collided soon after the start checking Blue Alcatraz which stumbled as a result. Elswyk Max and Cookie Rose collided on the first turn checking Elswyk Max, Goorawin and Black Bindi. Soda Storm and Call Me Waylan collided on the second turn. Elswyk Max galloped on Soda Storm approaching the home turn severely checking both greyhounds. Soda Storm and Goorawin collided in the home straight.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Magic Flora trialled over the 395m from box 8, weight 24.9kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.85, the greyhound was beaten bya margin of 10 lengths. Magic Flora was Cleared.
