Fireball Annie was slow to begin.  Shooters Ali was very slow to begin (5 lengths).  Urban Ruler crossed to the outside soon after the start and collided with Disco Hips, Drama King and Fireball Annie checking Disco Hips.  Urban Ruler, Drama King, El Diamonte and Sapphire Power collided on the first turn checking Drama King and severely checking Sapphire Power.  Drama King and Shooters Ali collided approaching the home turn checking Shooters Ali.

Swift Gem was slow to begin.  Aston Ricardo, Rajasthan and Tempered collided soon after the start.  Parumba Ned, Swift Gem, Aston Ricardo, Rajasthan and Tempered collided approaching the first turn checking Swift Gem.  Rajasthan brushed the running rail approaching the home turn.  Parumba Ned checked off Aston Ricardo on the home turn checking Swift Gem.  Rajasthan galloped on We Love Spolly in the home straight causing We Love Spolly to stumble and race erratic for a stride as a result.

We Love Spolly was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. S. Spoljaric, the trainer of We Love Spolly regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Crawford, the trainer of the greyhound Apache Flame regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Apache Flame last raced on 19th September, 2017.  Mr. Crawford stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a change of kennels.

Mr. D. Langley, the trainer of Zamazan declared a new weight of 31.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Zamazan last raced at 32.6kgs.

Apache Flame and Miss Gippsland were quick to begin.  Zamazan and Old Sandy Pub were slow to begin.  Beau Gem crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Oriental Rhys and Coffee King.  Ima Ghost Buster and Oriental Rhys collided on the first turn severely checking Ima Ghost Buster, Oriental Rhys, Coffee King and Old Sandy Pub;  all four greyhounds lost considerable ground as a result.  Ima Ghost Buster checked off Oriental Rhys approaching the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Spoljaric the trainer of the greyhound Amber's Romance regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Amber's Romance last raced on 8th November, 2017.  Mr. Spoljaric stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a change of kennels.

Pure White Evil, Wyaxehi and Nostimo were slow to begin.  Amber's Romance checked off Pure White Evil approaching the first turn.  Amber's Romance and Nostimo collided on the first turn.  Amber's Romance checked off Nostimo approaching the home turn.  Nostimo galloped on Owlette approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Wyaxehi raced wide on the home turn.

Dashing Dyson and Crackerjack Blax were slow to begin.  Zipping Monty, Ninetymile Turbo and Not Loitering collided approaching the first turn.  Zipping Monty checked off Not Loitering in the back straight.  Dynamic Rainbow, Zipping Monty, Ninetymile Turbo and Rhino Rex collided on the second turn checking Dynamic Rainbow and Zipping Monty and severely  checking Mister Heeney, Ninetymile Turbo and Dashing Dyson.  Rhino Rex clipped the heels of Not Loitering on the second turn.  Dynamic Rainbow and Zipping Monty collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.

Wadelock Sampson was quick to begin.  Diamonte's Boy was slow to begin.  Marvellous Midge faltered approaching the first turn and lost ground.  Bigtime Raider checked off Our Mojo approaching the winning post.

Marvellous Midge was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left back muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Little Black Joe was slow to begin.  Allen Gerwen and  Barroom Counsel collided soon after the start checking Barroom Counsel.  Dava Supreme, Lakeview Maisey, Loch Monster and Miss Holland collided on the first turn checking Lakeview Maisey, Rurik and Little Black Joe.  Lakeview Maisey and Rurik collided in the back straight checking Lakeview Maisey.  Lakeview Maisey stumbled on the second turn.  Dava Supreme checked off Allen Gerwen on the second turn.  Miss Holland checked off Allen Gerwen approaching the home turn.  Lakeview Maisey raced wide on the home turn.

Lottie Biscotti and Aston Ando were quick to begin.  Raise The Bet and Boom Flash were slow to begin.  Aston Ando, New Level and Cosmic Fox collided on the first turn.  New Level and Cosmic Fox collided on the first turn checking New Level and Ishmy Girl.  Aston Ando, Boom Flash and Ishmy Girl collided on the home turn.  Aston Ando and Boom Flash collided approaching the winning post.

New Level was vetted following the event after it performed below market expectations.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Stewards spoke to the trainer of New Level regarding the greyhound's performance.  Mr.Langley stated that he was disappointed with the greyhound's run and that he believed the greyhound had not backed up from it's previous start.  Stewards accepted his explanation on this occasion.

Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Koutsourakis the trainer of the greyhound Deja Vu Rock regarding the length of time the greyhound has had betwee races.  Deja Vu Rock last raced on 29th October, 2017.  Mr. Koutsourakis stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season.

Mr. N. Koutsourakis, the trainer of  Deja Vu Rock declared a new weight of 32.8kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Deja Vu Rock last raced at 31.3kgs.

Parumba Chief was slow to begin.  Ohana Lad,  Belron Bliss, Deja Vu Rock, Lady Bang Bang and Sweet Spolly collided soon after the start checking Belron Bliss, Deja Vu Rock, Lady Bang Bang and Sweet Spolly.  Waltz On Bye, Parumba Chief and Deja Vu Rock collided on the first turn checking Deja Vu Rock.  Parumba Chief checked off Waltz On Bye on the first turn severely checking Deja Vu Rock.  Parumba Chief galloped on Sweet Spolly approaching the home turn severely checking both greyhounds.  Parumba Chief and Deja Vu Rock collided on the home turn.

Soda Spike, Tail Inspector, So Like Sooty and Parumba Taylah were slow to begin.  Tail Inspector checked off So Like Sooty soon after the start.  It's A Glamma, Flywheel Snowy and El Helecho collided on the first turn checking It's A Glamma.  So Like Sooty checked off Parumba Taylah on the first turn.  Flywheel Snowy and El Helecho collided several times approaching the home turn.  Flywheel Snowy and El Helecho collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Soda Spike checked off Parumba Taylah on the home turn.  So Like Sooty raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Reatily Shintaro and Acey Boy were slow to begin.  Renaldo, Give Away King and Reatily Shintaro collided on the first turn checking Give Away King.  Renaldo checked off Cosmic Yessam on the second turn.  Reatily Shintaro and Acey Boy collided on the second turn.
