Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Galloping Bluboy.
Jagger Circuit was slow to begin. Midnight Muscat and Sweet Shiraz collided soon after the start. Voluptuous Cleo and Sweet Shiraz collided approaching the first turn. Optima Semper brushed the running rail on the first turn. Jagger Circuit and Sweet Shiraz collided on the first turn causing Sweet Shiraz to lose ground as a result. Galloping Bluboy and Mercy Percy collided approaching the home turn. Optima Semper checked off Galloping Bluboy on the home turn causing Optima Semper and Mercy Percy to collide.
Sweet Shiraz was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Gordon Edwards,the trainer of the greyhound Sweet Shiraz, Stewards deemed the performance of Sweet Shiraz unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance withGAR 71, Stewards directed that Sweet Shiraz must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
