Steward's Report
Hukanui was very slow to begin (3L). Reckoning and Rock Up Top collided soon after the start. Reckoning checked off Rock Up Top approaching the first turn. Rock Up Top and Bonnie Beauty collided approaching the first turn checking Bonnie Beauty. Reckoning and Bonnie Beauty collided on the first turn. Bonnie Beauty and Hakanui collided on the first turn checking Bonnie Beauty. Jaclyn Bale checked off Up Hill Jill on the second turn. Reckoning checked off Jaclyn Bale on the home turn and collided with Bonnie Beauty checking both greyhounds. Dyna Wazza shifted inwards entering the home straight and approaching the winning post and collided with Rock Up Top.
Bonnie Beauty was vetted was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right monkey muscle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr M. Delbridge, the trainer of Dyna Wazza regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight and in the home straight.
Samples were taken from Hasten Slowly (1st placegetter) and Rock Up Top (2nd placegetter).
