Steward's Report
Prior to the Event, Stewards spoke to Mr P Ward, Trainer of Zabdon Ferrari, regarding anonymous information which had been received by GRV. Mr Ward stated that he was 100% confident that he was presenting Zabdon Ferrari free of any prohibited substances.
The starting time for this event was rescheduled to 5:57 pm, to allow for remedial works to the outside fence approximately 30 metres in front of the 450 boxes) which had been damaged by tractor between races.
A pre-race sample was taken from Zabdon Ferrari.
Bacardi Breezer and Wicked Pedro collided soon after the start, checking Bacardi Breezer. Veracity, Sienna's Gem, Nunniong Plain, Slippery Sam and Zabdon Ferrari collided approaching the first turn, checking Sienna's Gem and Veracity. Veracity, Nunniong Plain, Slippery Sam and Zabdon Ferrari collided on the first turn, checking Zabdon Ferrari. Veracity, Nunniong Plain and Slippery Sam collided on the first turn, checking Slippery Sam. Ourgirl Fab, Zabdon Ferrari and Bacardi Breezer collided on the home turn, checking Bacardi Breezer and Zabdon Ferrari.
Zabdon Ferrari was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left foreleg torn dew claw nail, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race blood sample was taken from Zabdon Ferrari - unplaced in the event.
