Steward's Report
A trial of the GRV-endorsed ISO-LYNX real-time tracking system was conducted throughout today's racing program. All race rugs used today were fitted with a location tracking beacon as part of this trial.
Persian Oasis, Go Ee Kay and Power To Wyn were slow to begin.
Slingshot Hammer and Limburg Will collided soon after the start. Calleva and Persian Oasis collided soon after the start, checking Persian Oasis and Go Ee Kay. Yongning crossed to the rail approaching the first turn. Calleva, Slingshot Hammer and Limburg Will collided approaching the first turn, checking Calleva, Limburg Will and Persian Oasis. Calleva and Limburg Will collided on the first turn and again approaching the second turn. Calleva and Go Ee Kay collided approaching the second turn. Slingshot Hammer galloped on the back of Power To Wyn entering the back straight, severely checking Power To Wyn and Slingshot Hammer which lost considerable ground as a result.
Power To Wyn was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left pectoral (chest) muscle and abrasions above the right stopper. A five-day stand down period was imposed.
Slingshot Hammer was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.
A sample was taken from It's A Bull, the winner of the event.
