Belt Up Bubbs and Come On Emmaline were slow to begin.
Helicopter Harry, Ronray Legend and Percy's Empire collided on the first turn. Orleans and Belt Up Bubbs collided on the first turn checking Orleans. Belt Up Bubbs and Rocky Road collided in the back straight. Helicopter Harry and Percy's Empire collided approaching the second turn checking Percy's Empire which collided with Belt Up Bubbs. Belt Up Bubbs, Rocky Road and Orleans collided approaching the second turn. Rocky Road stumbled on the second turn and lost ground. Orleans and Ronray Legend collided on the home turn.
Rocky Road was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left hind paw. No stand down period was imposed.
