Dum Didee Dum, Krisbar Blue Fox, Welshman, Quando Quando and My Hardaway Hannah collided soon after the start checking Krisbar Blue Fox, Welshman and Quando Quando. Krisbar Blue Fox contacted the running rail on the first turn. Hartley Matt, Dum Didee Dum and My Hardaway Hana collided several times on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. My Hardaway Hana and Welshman collided several times approaching the home turn and on the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Welshman was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left metatarsal injury. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed.

King Of Ring and Cairnlea Rosie were quick to begin.

Raven Joe and You Bandit collided entering the back straight checking Raven Joe and Dynamo Jezz which stumbled as a result. Stir Fry Shrimp and You Bandit collided entering the back straight checking Stir Fry Shrimp. Emgee Sprinter and Cairnlea Rosie collided approaching the home turn.

Zambra Icon and Cass' Cass collided several times soon after the start checking Zambra Icon. Racketeer, Cass' Cass and Scarecrow Tiger collided on the first turn checking Cass' Cass and severely checking Scarecrow Tiger. Zambra Icon and Teflon Travis collided several times approaching the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Ms. J. Elliott regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Meehan Blue.  Stewards directed that Meehan Blue be boxed first in future events.

Clovalley Mauri and Jack's Pick collided on the home turn. Oleg, Latifi Sam and Liscoyle Lass collided several times on the home turn and again entering the home straight.

Violet Blue and Ginger Menang collided soon after the start. Violet Blue faltered entering the back straight, pulled up and took no futher part in the event. Meehan Roy and Ginger Menang collided several times approaching the first turn to the first turn. Meehan Roy and Ginger Menang collided several times approaching the home turn to the home turn.

Violet Blue was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle. A stand down period of 21 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Hanson trainer and part owner of Ginger Menang and also Mr. N. Lindrea regarding the ownership of Ginger Menang. It was established that Mr. Lindrea is in fact part owner of the greyhound, and that although the stewards permitted the greyhound to race today the greyhound's ownership needs to be correct prior to it racing again.

Blue Blitz was a late scratching at 13:46 due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. A. Inglis was fined the sum of $100.

Kwazii and Zelemar Zest were slow to begin.

Sixteen Bills was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hock. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Meeting Comments:-

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms. H. Ivers, the trainer of Quizzical regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Quizzical last raced on 6th July 2017. Ms. Ivers stated that the greyhound was returning to racing from injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Qizzical trialled over the 425mt from box 1, weight 32.6kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.27, the greyhound won by a margin of 2.5L. Quizzical was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Atlas Roughead trialled over the 425mt from box 3, weight 33.2kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.27, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of  10.25L. Atlas Roughead was cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - George Regis trialled over the 425mt from box 6, weight 34.1kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.27, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.5L. George Regis was cleared. 

Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. B. Diviriglio regarding his conduct towards Steward Ms. L. Fahry. Evidence was taken from Ms. Farhy, Ms P. Watt, Dr. E. Marriott and Mr. Divirgilio.
