Steward's Report
Siver Lightning was a late scratching at 4.53pm on Veterinary advice (GAR 37)(fleas). No stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance before any future nomination will be accepted.
A pre-race sample was taken from Phillip Keeping.
Flywheel Strike and Clarence Clocka were slow to begin. Itz Hooroo Adios and La Reina collided approaching the first turn checking La Reina. La Reina was checked off Itz Hooroo Adios on the first turn checking Luna Evening and severely checking La Reina. Itz Hooroo Adios and Luna Evening collided in the home straight checking Luna Evening.

Midnight Max trialled over 395 metres from box 1, weight 29.5kg, the greyhound was placed fifth in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 23.05 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 16.5 lengths. Midnight Max was not cleared.
Waneroo trialled over 395 metres from box 6, weight 35.9kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 23.05 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of .25 length. Waneroo was cleared.
Supplementary Report 3/2/2018:-
Mr.T.Noy requested in writing that the 28 day standown for each his greyhounds be reviewed following their late scratching due to non arrival. Stewards accepted Mr.Noy’s explanation and as such lifted the standown period on both greyhounds. The $100 fine for each late scratching remained.
