Stewards spoke to Mr. W. McMahon regarding the late kennelling of Enzo.  Stewards accepted Mr. McMahon's explanation and no further action was taken.

Buddie's Al was a late scratching at 4.59pm due to non arrival (GAR 31).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. T. Noy was fined the sum of $100.

Mr. W. McMahon the representative for Mister Walker declared a new weight of 32.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Mister Walker last raced at 31.7kg.

Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Fasoli the representative for All In regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.    All In last raced on 11/08/17.  Mr. Fasoli stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right hock injury.

Gearbox Girl and Mother Monster collided approaching the first turn checking Mother Monster and Mister Walker.  Dubai Prince was checked off Mother Monster approaching the first turn.  All In and Mother Monster collided on the first turn checking Mother Monster and Dubai Prince.  All In raced wide approaching the home turn causing Mister Walker and Burning Steel to race wide.  Gearbox Girl and Dr. Dedra collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Flywheel Snowy was slow to begin.  Surfonic Pearl and Sebrof Lad were very slow to begin (3 lengths). Dr. Lola went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Sebrof Lad was checked off Surfonic Pearl approaching the first turn.  Wot Price Boofa and Flywheel Snowy collided on the first turn checking Flywheel Snowy.  Surfonic Pearl raced wide on the first turn.

Siver Lightning was a late scratching at 4.53pm on Veterinary advice (GAR 37)(fleas). No stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance before any future nomination will be accepted.

Satisfactory trial results:-

Midnight Max trialled over 395 metres from box 1, weight 29.5kg, the greyhound was placed fifth in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 23.05 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 16.5 lengths.  Midnight Max was not cleared.

Waneroo trialled over 395 metres from box 6, weight 35.9kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 23.05 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of .25 length.  Waneroo was cleared.

Supplementary Report 3/2/2018:-

Mr.T.Noy requested in writing that the 28 day standown for each his greyhounds be reviewed following their late scratching due to non arrival. Stewards accepted Mr.Noy’s explanation and as such lifted the standown period on both greyhounds. The $100 fine for each late scratching remained.
