Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Cowling, the representative of Make It Happen regarding the length of time the greyound has had between races. Make It Happen last raced on 4th December, 2017. Mr. Cowling stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a torn left hind tendon.
Two Toes Tony, Ha Ha Gotcha and Viewing were slow to begin. Urana Banjo and Make It Happen collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Urana Banjo and Make It Happen collided on the second turn. Urana Banjo marred Two Toes Tony approaching the winning post.
Urana Banjo was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Whitford, the trainer of the greyhound Urana Banjo regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Urana Banjo with marring. Mr. Whitford pleaded guilty to the charge, Urana Banjo was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
