Mate checked off Suitress approaching the first turn, checking Suitress. Mate and Gold Attraction collided approaching the home turn. Massive Attack checked off Mate approaching the home turn. Jellybean Jess checked off Razzle Oak entering the home straight.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr John Vassallo, the trainer of Mahlo Hero, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Mahlo Hero last raced on 18 July 2017. Mr Vassallo stated that the greyhound had been season and spelling following a 90-day suspension for marring. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Mahlo Hero trialled over the 400m from box one, weight 26.9kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.95, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2L. Mahlo Hero was not cleared.

Paris Marie last raced on 1 June 2017. Mr Jeffries stated that the greyhound had changed kennels. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Paris Marie trialled over the 400m from box three, weight 27.0kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.95, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 10.75L. Paris Marie was cleared.
