Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms. N. Perkins the trainer of Krabi regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Krabi last raced on 29th January 2018 and is returning to race after a change of kennels.
A pre-race sample was taken from Krabi.
Shakey Cougar was slow to begin. Tiny Terror and Cailah Rose collided soon after the start. Knock About crossed to the outside at the 250 metre mark checking Tiny Terror, Cailah Rose and Krabi. Tiny Terror, Spot My Key and Serious Bolt collided at the 250 metre mark checking Serious Bolt. Shakey Cougar crossed to the rail at the 250 metre mark. Serious Bolt crossed to the outside at the 200 metre mark checking Tiny Terror. Knock About marred the Krabi approaching the 200 metre mark severely checking Krabi which stumbled and lost ground as a result. Knock About, Cailah Rose and Just Blacky collided at the 150 metre mark. Cailah Rose and Krabi collided approaching the winning post.
Knock About was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Klemke, the representative of the greyhound Knock About regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the 200 metre mark.. Acting under GAR 69(1), Stewards charged Knock About with marring. Mr. Klemke pleaded guilty to the charge. Knock About was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Russell regarding his inappropriate use of language at the starting boxes. Stewards deemed his language detrimental to the interest, welfare and image of greyhound racing and issued him with a severe reprimand, pursuant to GAR 86(q). In considering penalty Stewards considered Mr. Russell's remorse and clean record for similar offences.

Satisfactory Trial Results
Stewards spoke to Mrs. A. Powell, the trainer of Piccolo Princess regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Piccolo Princess last raced on 7th October 2017. Mrs. Powell stated that the greyhound is returning to race after a right hock injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Piccolo Princess trialled over the 300m from box 1, weight 26.1kgs. The greyhound was placed 1st in a field of four. The time of the trial was 16.63. The greyhound won by a margin of 2.75 lengths. Piccolo Princess was cleared.
