Cilla Gem was quick to begin. Perplexing, Shae Magnifique and Mason's Mate were slow to begin.

Mason's Mate crossed to the outside soon after the start. Shae Magnificque and Deadly Basilisa collided approaching the 300m mark.  Misload crossed to the outside approaching the 250m mark, checking Cilla Gem.  Mason's Mate raced eratically throughout the event.

Mason's Mate was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.

Senor Ollie and Triceps Brachii collided soon after the start. Blackpool Ivy and Cosmic Buzzard collided soon after the start. Cosmic Buzzard crossed to the inside approaching the 300m mark, checking Triceps Brachii and You Bandit. Bluehawk Robert crossed to the inside approaching the 300m mark. Senor Ollie, Triceps Brachii and Bluehawk Robert collided several times approaching the 250m mark, checking Triceps Brachii and Bluehawk Robert, and severely checking Senor Ollie which fell as a result. Blackpool Ivy and Bluehawk Robert collided at the 200m mark. You Bandit and Triceps Brachii collided approaching the 100m mark.

Senor Ollie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a sacro-iliac injury and bruising to the right hock. A five-day stand down period was imposed.
